3 Easy Ways to Get More Back Links and More Traffic

Getting more traffic to your blog or website can be a challenge when you’re first starting off. Without traffic, there are no sales made and even if succeed to get traffic…without good content you’ll fail to gain their interest in your products or services. One of the major criteria search engines use to rank search results on the Internet is “backlinks”. Backlinks are links on other blogs and websites which link back to your site or content that you’ve created. The more backlinks you gain the higher you’ll rank in the search engines.

Here are 3 great ways to get more free backlinks:

1.  Write Articles. You can write articles and post them on EzineArticles.com or other article directories. (Be sure to check out one of my favorite article directories at Wahm-Articles.com.) At the end of your articles, in the signature box, you should include a brief call to action and then a link back to your site. To help make your article as effective as possible, you should also include a popular keyword or keyword phrase.

2.  Create Pages on Social Networking Sites. Some of the most popular social networking sites are Squidoo, Hubpages, and Xanga. You can create as many pages as you want on each of these sites and include a link back to your site too. You should design each of your social networking pages around a keyword or a phrase that is searched a lot and related to your niche topic.

3.  Utilize Social Bookmarking. Sites likes StumbleUpon, Digg, Reddit, and Delicious allow you to bookmark sites and/or content that you like. When you bookmark something a link is created on that site. Thus, an opportunity to create more links back to your site. Bookmark everything you do on the Internet and even bookmark your article and social networking pages.
