The better the quality score the higher the ad will rank when a keyword phrase is searched for on Google. Of course the amount a person bids for those keywords is taken into consideration too. However, quality score counts just as much. Here are the 3 major factors for quality score along with an explanation for each.

1.  Improve Your CTR (Click through Rate)

CTR (which is your click through rate) represents the amount of times someone clicks on your ad when it appears. The higher your CTR the better your quality score will be.

Help: Focus on getting people to click on your ads. Grab viewers attention by using attention-grabbing headlines and good copywriting skills.

2.  Improve Your Landing Page Quality

The better your landing page is the higher your quality score will be.

Help: Make sure the information on your landing page is related to the keywords you’re bidding on.  Also make sure the information is helpful and of good quality.

3.  Improve the Relevancy

How well does your site match up with the keyword phrase that you’re targeting with your ad?

Help: Work on creating content that will be highly relevant to the keyword phrases you are using for your ad.

Google’s goal is to create a pleasant and helpful search experience for its users.  Once a visitor arrives at your site, they want to instantly have that insurance that they have arrived to a site with useful information that matches exactly what they were searching for.  If this isn’t achieved, they may quickly hit the back button.  Google also takes this into consideration.

Do include relevant keywords within your webpage.  On the otherhand, don’t overstuff your webpages with keywords. Focus on a good balance using some relevant keywords and offering your visitors useful content.  It’s better to create other webpages for various releated topics and link your ads directly to those in order to acheive higher relevancy.

Utilizing these three tips should help you improve your Google Adwords quality score and acheive better results with your online marketing campaigns.
