No Work? I just created a job for myself and you can too!

A little personal stuff about me…
I’ve been missing in action for awhile now. Actually, I’ve been dabbling in a few other niches…but most importantly, I took a small break to rethink things and decide what I would really like to do online. The internet marketing niche can be quite competitive and I started to feel like I wanted to do something a little different.
I find it quite odd that I created a website entitled, “MommyRevenue.com” when in reality, I’m not that enticed with money and wealth. After all, I have riches awaiting me in Heaven that are far more valuable than any earthly riches. God has abundantly blessed, in fact, my hubby and I paid off all our debts three years ago and last year paid off our house.
I also have three boys with whom I have a great time playing Monopoly and love playing with the “fake money” that affords us the delight of buying and selling property without “real” money worries. Of course, mom makes them tell the “banker” (that’s me) how much I owe them back when they purchase property, that way I they practice math at the same time.
When I created this site though…
It wasn’t with the with the intention of making a lot of money, but instead that I would be sharing with moms all that I’ve learned about online marketing and share resources that would help them work online in order to stay home with their kids. I didn’t want to be just a WAHM site selling advertising online. I wanted to offer some real information here.
For those of you who know me, I’ve been interested in affiliate marketing for quite some time. The reason behind this is that I’m a Christian wife and mom who has priorities that come first. I hate the thought of being tied down to the computer (although, it seems like I’m there much too often. lol)
Affiliate marketing appeals to me because…
I don’t have to worry about creating my own products or stress about providing customer service or shipping products. I’ve been afforded the opportunity to cash in time and time again on products that I’ve long ago promoted but still receive income from. If only I would stay more focused, I’d be earning a lot more…
The main problem that causes me to get distracted is…
I have a creative side to me that doesn’t seem to get fulfilled. I can’t seem to sit still. I love creating another website or working on a new project. In fact, I would make a great website flipper and know plenty of women who are making a nice income do so.
I would also make a great freelancer, as I’ve had success in writing…won a few awards in high school, in fact.
But, overall, I still am intrigued with “marketing” niche for some reason. I always thought it would be sort of neat to be an affiliate manager, in fact, there are some women affiliate managers who are quite good at this job…but I hated the thought of tying myself down to work for someone else on any set schedule.
The perfect fit for me…
After long thought, I decided to create my own job and become an affiliate manager working for myself. In fact, I’m giving all future weekends off! lol
It’s a mix of all that I love with working online: affiliate marketing, helping others earn money online, creating new projects and launching new products.
A short while back, I took one of my old domains and created an affiliate training center at MommyAffiliates.com
Today I just launched a new product, TrainingDogsRevealed.com, which is an 80 page ebook jam packed with information and written by a dog trainer with 20 years experience. I’m generally giving all affiliates 75% and second tier affiliates 5%.
Those who also join MommyAffiliates.com will receive additional tools and marketing support. Also, you’ll be notified of new releases. I plan to cover quite a few niches.
A lesson learned…
If you can’t find work online, consider creating your own work.
1. Decide what you like to do and create your own business.
2. Fulfill a need. There are tons of online marketers who need content, web design, an extra hand with customer support etc. Find a way to help solve a problem and make someone’s life easier and you’ll create yourself a job!

How to Make Serious Money by Selling Ebooks from Home

An extremely large number of people are looking at different types of home business opportunities in order to find a way to make extra money from home without tying themselves down to a second job. Selling ebooks from home can be the perfect opportunity to generate extra income without any additional commitment that a regular job would require.
You might be a busy professional who wants to spend more time with your family, a stay-at-home mom who wants to earn money while raising her kids or a student who has decided he no longer wants to support his education by making fries. Whatever the circumstances may be, you can be assured that internet users are searching online for information and they’re willing to pay money for it. You can take advantage of this opportunity by setting up your own webpage online selling your own information products.
Most people’s lives are hectic and they don’t want to waste precious time researching information or take time to go to the library to research topics that interest them. As a result, the popularity of the ebook, which can be digitally downloaded to the customer’s computer in an instant, is growing phenomenally.
People are ready to spend their hard-earned money on buying ebooks that offer valuable information which will also save them time on performing their own research. Therefore, internet marketers who have researched and know what kind of information thousands are looking for are busy selling ebooks and reports from home and cashing in on this opportunity.
If you feel you are an expert on a certain topic that will interest a lot of readers, then you should proceed to compose your own ebook or report. You could also consider offering other forms of information such as ecourses, which could be downloaded in parts by your customers, creating your own membership site, or even producing audio books or videos.
On the other hand, if you cannot write your own ebook due to any number of reasons-shortage of time or a lack of interest, aptitude or skill, do not worry. There are hundreds of e-book and report writers who will let you sell their original products for a commission. Online this is considered as “affiliate marketing”. Another option is to purchase resell rights to already published ebooks and reports and sell them to your customers after paying a one time fee to the original creator.
The only trick involved in making serious money by selling ebooks from home is to find or create a high quality product on a topic that is in high demand. Your main focus then will be to market it well.

6 Tips to Start a Membership Site and Create Residual Income

6 Tips to Start a Membership Site and Create Residual Income

Creating your own membership site is a great way to generate a lot of extra cash as well as create residual income.
Your options are practically unlimited as to what type of membership site you want to start; however, you do need to make sure there is a demand or fairly big interest in the type of site you decide to create.
The best time to start a membership site is now. Take some action…grab your pencil and jot down these steps.
Here’s 6 easy steps to start a membership site:
1. Choose your Niche
You want to choose a niche that you know something about or have interest in, and you want to choose a niche that other people are interested in too.
Some popular topics include weight loss, health, making money, saving money, finance, travel, homeschooling, cooking, organizing, time management, etc. I recommend staying away from trendy topics that may soon lose interest when the “next big thing” comes out.
2. Choose your Format and Membership Type
Now it’s time to work out some preliminary details. What type of membership site should you create? You need to consider the wants and needs of your future members.
Much of your decisions will depend on how often you can deliver fresh content. Will your membership site offer new content weekly, bimonthly, monthly or yearly? How often will membership fees be due? Decide the little details so that you can make adequate action plans.
3. Build your Membership Site
Now is the time to start building your site. Decide on your name, purchase a domain name, choose appropriate software to run your membership site (I recommend WishList Member software), outsource the design work or use templates. Personally, I feel that Wordpress is a super easy way to create your site and you can find many free templates online or even low cost templates that look quite professional.
Make sure to take your time to build the site correctly with an appealing layout and design. It also might be worth investing in a copywriter for your salespage if you feel inadequate in this area.
4. Create your Content
The next easy step is to create the content for your site. Again, you want to make sure to take time to create really great content. Consider outsourcing if you hate writing or need help with your content creation.
You want your content to be outstanding. If new members are disappointed with your content, they will quickly unsubscribe and may even ask for refunds.
What you need to do is plan to over deliver. Create at least a whole months content in advance if possible. This way, you can start planning for the next months content while your members are currently utilizing and enjoying your first month’s content.
5. Start Slow and Build Slowly
Another thing to consider is starting slow and building as you go. Don’t offer way above what you will be able to deliver every month or whatever set basis you have formed.
It’s better to offer a reasonable amount of content and establish a good solid foundation. Once you have your site established and thriving…you can surprise your members by adding even more content and value to their membership. You can grow slowly and add some partners to build your business larger and expand.
6. Promote your Membership Site
One thing you can depend upon is failure if you have no traffic to your new membership site. A few things you can do is start some free internet marketing promotions such as article marketing, forum marketing, social networking and directory submissions.
For a guide that will lead you step-by-step with tried and tested tactics for building your own successful membership site, I highly recommend that you subscribe to “How to Set up a Membership Site in 48 Hours or Less.” You’ll not be disappointed in the tutorial or your results!

26 Ways to Use eBooks to Boost Your Home Business

26 Ways to Use eBooks to Boost Your Home Business

eBooks are one of the most popular forms of content on the Internet today. They’re easy to publish, eco-friendly, and virtually free to distribute.
Done-for-you private label rights (PLR) packages like Mom PLR eBooks make publishing and marketing them easier than ever. No wonder, many Internet marketers are making fortunes from selling eBooks.
But did you know that an eBook can boost your business in so many ways, other than by selling it as an eBook?
Here are 26 ways one eBook can boost your business:
1. Break up the eBook into blog posts or articles for your site. Publishing fresh content frequently is a good way to build up traffic.
2. Use content from the eBook to respond to questions in Yahoo! Answers and discussion forums in your market. Of course, add a link to your site.
3. Turn the eBook into a training tool for your affiliates. Good affiliates are essential to your business.
4. Pull out content from the eBook to create a Squidoo lens, Hub Page and Google Knol. These Web 2.0 platforms are excellent sources of back links to your site.
5. Rewrite parts of the eBook into unique articles and submit to Ezine Articles, Lady Pens, Associated Content, Go Articles, and other article directories. More quality back links for your money pages.
6. Break up the eBook into an e-course. You can either sell or give away the e-course.
7. Take parts of the eBook and use them in your email newsletter or Ezine.
8. Give away the eBook to build up a mailing list. Readers will gladly give their email addresses for an eBook that addresses their problems.
9. Offer the eBook as a bonus for a paid product. Increase the value of your product.
10. Give the eBook away as an unannounced bonus to your customers. They’ll love you for it and will be happy to buy from you again.
11. Take the most actionable parts of the eBook and create a printed promotional postcard, flyer or newsletter.
12. Rewrite the eBook for a more specific niche, such as “stay at home Moms,” “Moms of multiples,” “Moms of teens,” “homeschooling Moms,” etc. Create a new stream of income from another market.
13. Sell the eBook as a printed book through Lulu.com. Be where few Internet marketers are.
14. Expand the eBook into a self-study course, by creating mindmaps, cheatsheets and step-by-step guides.
15. Break up the eBook into an audio or teleseminar series, which you either sell or give away.
16. Transform each chapter of the eBook into a podcast via iTunes. Podcasts increase your authority, drive traffic to your site, and warm up listeners to your offer.
17. Use the eBook to create a slideshow or screen capture video. Use the video to market your product or service on video sharing sites like YouTube.
18. Read the eBook to create an audio product. Sell it as a digital product, or a preloaded mp3 player. You’ll stand out from your competition.
19. Translate the eBook into another language, and sell it in other countries.
20. When preparing for a media interview, get content from the eBook to build your key messages.
21. Distill the eBook into a special report to either sell or give away.
22. Get the best nuggets of content from the eBook and turn them into Twitter tweets. Add a link to your site or squeeze page.
23. Use the eBook as a reference material when writing a press release.
24. Transform the eBook into a white paper, which explains your product or service to your target market.
25. Bundle the eBook with other eBooks about related topics, to create a comprehensive home study course.
26. Break the eBook content down into group coaching sessions you give through teleconference, teleseminar or webinar format. Charge for the group coaching, or give free access to build your list.
As you can see, an eBook can boost your business in so many ways. If you’ve only been using an eBook as an eBook, you’re missing out. That eBook can be repurposed, transformed, re-targeted and monetized in so many ways. Even a single eBook can do so much for your business.
If you don’t want to write your own eBook or hire a ghostwriter to do it for you, then using PLR content is your answer. PLR is the most affordable and fastest way to get an eBook and other content for your biz.
