3 Ways to Improve Your Internet Marketing Business Today

It is possible to achieve a successful internet marketing business online. But by now, you may also realize that there are specific reasons why some people succeed and others don’t. There are numerous tips that can help you succeed, but the following are definitely a must…
3ways to improve your Internet Marketing business today:
1. Set goals. Don’t just set big goals for each project…set small goals, too. Set goals for what you want to accomplish in a week and even in a day. In fact, you can even set a goal for what you want to get done in the next hour.
Don’t overwhelm yourself with the goals that you set, but always be thinking in terms of goals. Make sure you set goals that are achievable. Set realistic yet challenging goals and make sure you achieve all of your goals before adding more.
2. Become laser focused. Don’t allow yourself to get distracted. Set your goals and then work hard until you achieve your goals. Don’t be lured away by the latest and greatest way to make money, and don’t allow yourself to get distracted by things that aren’t a part of your Internet Marketing business.
3. Make sure you take time off. This may seem like it won’t help your business much, but it will. Taking time off for yourself will allow you to recharge your battery and avoid getting burned out. So don’t overwork yourself, and set breaks on a scheduled basis.

How to Pick the Best Joint Venture Partners

Picking joint venture partners is not always an easy task…in fact, in can be quite a scary thought. After all, not just any internet marketer would be a perfect JV partner for you. The good news is that I’ve listed some points below to help you pick that perfect business partner.
3 important traits to consider when picking the perfect JV partner:
1. The JV partner should be one who compliments you. This is a person that takes what you do and makes it better. You should compliment them too. Both of you should make each other better and make it so you both are more successful thanks to the help of each other.
Let’s face facts, we’re not all good at everything. The perfect joint venture partner for you will be great at what you don’t do well and perhaps won’t be quite so good at what you’re great at. Together the two of you will do the important things really well. So you’ll make each other better. You’ll compliment each other…and make a great team.
2. The JV partner should be compatible. In other words, you want someone who you get along with. You have to at least match up with your JV partner in the business sense. You don’t have to be best of friends with the person but you do have to be alike in the way you run your businesses and the outlook you have for your business. This brings us to the last of the important traits of the perfect JV partner.
3. The JV partner should share the same goals as you do. Your JV partner has to want the same level of success as you, and your JV partner has to have a similar idea about how to get to that level of success.
Your JV partner should also have the same ethics and ideals concerning business managemet and making money. Having the same goals will make it much easier to make decisions as you move forward together.
Picking the perfect joint venture partners can make your business ventures pleasant and more successful. Consider well the three tips above to help you make the perfect choice.

What I Learned From my Dentist About Building a Successful Business
Posted by RevenueGal on
June 24, 2009
If you’re like me, you really DREAD going to the dentist!
Really, the ones with the bad end of the deal are the poor dentists who have to peer (& dig around) inside their customers’ mouths.
Can you imagine what some of them find lurking in there…lodged food from lunch or odor from those who haven’t brushed their teeth in a week.
And then, on top of that you have crying children and customers who can stand the slightest pain (that would be me, lol)
What I’ve learned from my dentist about building a successful business…
I happen to go to a wonderful clinic where the dentist and his staff are the most wonderful people. I live in a fairly small town and I happen to know that his clinic is the most sought out one in our local area. In fact, most people pay extra to go there even though their own insurance may not provide as much coverage since he may not be on the list that their insurance provides.
What makes them so successful?
Well, I’ve given some thought over this question because their business is indeed booming and well sought after. First, I would have to say that they have trained their staff well in customer service.
- The staff is super friendly (and in a genuine manner, I would like to add). They’re always smiling and eager to please. They call you by your name and act as if you’re one of their own personal friends.
- They don’t half do any jobs. They gather full facts and work toward doing the best job possible.
- They’re genuinely concerned about their customers. They ask questions to get feedback and they listen.
- They followup on their customers. More than once I’ve had them call and checkup on how we were doing. I’ve even had the dentist call after hours to checkup on my son and apologize again for some inconvenience that occurred (which, frankly, wasn’t even his fault.)
- They’re place is pleasantly presentable. The atmosphere is pleasant, the facilities are well-kept, clean and the decor is pleasing to the eye. It’s very homey.
How can we apply this to make our own home business successful?
Well, we need to be genuinely concerned about our customers. We need to provide the best quality products and services possible. We need to care more about their needs by gathering feedback and listening to what they want. We need to follow up with them after sales; this will help us gain repeat sales. And we need to present our products and services in the best manner. If we have a website, we need to make sure that it’s easy to navigate and has a pleasing eye appeal.
Building a successful business means establishing loyal customers (which brings repeat sales) and the only way to do this is to make sure your customers are completely satisfied!

Does a Publicist Guarantee Publicity: Or Do I Need One?

Does a Publicist Guarantee Publicity: Or Do I Need One?

By Guest Blogger, Alice Seba
It can be overwhelming just to think about the thought of starting a press release or publicity campaign. How is it possible to get Oprah’s attention or even get a mention in a national magazine?
The truth is, one does not have to work hard to get advantageous publicity for one’s business. It is safe to say – No, a publicist is not necessary to generate a worthy publicity for one’s business.
I, myself am not interested in being famous. Instead, I would rather create tons of low-key publicity that can help me build my business. On occasion, people request for interviews or I even get quoted in articles. These activities increase both my subscriber and customer lists at a steady rate but it doesn’t equate to me being famous. That’s alright because I do not desire to be famous.
People who position themselves as an expert in their market can receive a lot of worthy publicity. Sending out press releases does not automatically make one an expert. It is better to have an abundance of quality content in the internet and also visibility in search engines as well as networking with others who can refer media to you.
Don’t forget to consider that fame comes with a price. You can learn from other book authors who are out on a publicity tour. Find out from the author what difference it made in sales of their book. Authors need to invest a great amount of time. The sad part is that the time investment does not always bring back a great return.
What works well is a low-key approach. Why burn yourself out when you don’t have to!

How to Get More Work Done Without Working Any Extra Hours

How to Get More Work Done Without Working Any Extra Hours
It is indeed possible to get more work done without working the extra dreaded hours. If you’ve been spending hour after hour working working at home with no results, you’re probably overdue for a time management makeover.
There are time wasters that we need to avoid which dwindles away precious time and hinders our “profitable progress.” Lack of planning and organization is another key factor that causes us to work harder and produce very little results.
Here’s are 7 Steps to helping you get more work done without working any extra hours…
1. Determine Your Priorities
Many times the biggest problem we have is not separating our top priorities from activities that are simply just time wasters.
Jot down everything that you believe must be done in your home business. Include all aspects such as marketing, customer service, shipping, creating newsletters, followups, etc.
Now, take a closer inspection. Can anything be eliminated or outsourced? Perhaps you’re spending hours checking and reading your email. Eliminate the number of times you check your email to only three times each day and create files to store email that can be attended to at a later scheduled time.
If you’re spending hours posting ads on free classified sites, determine if you’re having any real results from this activity. Eliminate marketing methods that show no positive results.
2. Write Out a Quick Action Plan
After you’ve determined what exactly your priorities should be, write out a simple action plan to follow daily. If time is very limited, you may have to focus on a different area of your home business each day.
Make extra action plans for different occasions. What kind of things could you accomplish while traveling? How about while sitting in the doctor’s office waiting for your appointment? What action can be taken if your website has gone down? If your hosting company is working on the matter, you could be ready with your backup action plan for some offline work for your home business.
3. Organize Your Work Area
Organization is the key to gaining more time and freedom. Those who lack in planning and organization become slaves to working their home business after hours, weekends, holidays, etc.
Organize your work area to save hours of wasted time hunting for items at the last minute. Create file folders on your computer that make it super simple to locate documents and downloads for your home business. Create customized folders for newsletters, articles, ebooks, reports, marketing information, events.
Keep your calendar nearby. Watch your calendar for upcoming family events and holidays so that you can plan to work ahead, in order to schedule time off.
Use Notepad to write special links, affiliate links, or articles that you’re working on. Save copies in one of your file folders and upload backup copies to store in your inbox online. If you’re working from another location, you can access this file online by logging into your email management account. (I use inbox.com that allows me to mange my email and upload files to save).
4. Set Specific Goals to Achieve
Fast progress rarely happens when you haven’t written down specific goals you need to accomplish. Write goals that are geared toward accomplishing your top priorities.
Make sure your goals are achievable, otherwise you’ll soon become discouraged and give up. In fact, make sure you allow yourself plenty of time to achieve your goals. If you finish early, tack on a couple of extra goals to reach before the end of the day.
Working to achieve reasonable goals helps you to accomplish more and feel successful with each progressive step forward that you’ve made.
5. Avoid Distractions and Time Wasters
There are many distractions while working online. I would have to say social sites and habitual email checks are two distractions that will keep you from getting more work done.
Reading information can become time wasters and distractions as well. Becoming obsessive in learning everything possible about your home business often results in “information overload”. Information overload happens easily and renders you motionless. Without a doubt it can become a big distraction that will hinder your progress.
It’s great to learn all about your home business and all the successful marketing tactics, but once you’ve learned many of the basics, it’s time to take some A.C.T.I.O.N. Refer back to your action plan and put your best foot forward and get to work.
6. Outsource Whatever You Can’t Reasonably Do
Outsourcing is the online marketers avenue to getting more done and making more money. It just makes sense to outsource work that you find extremely difficult or lack the ability to do. Some examples may be creating graphics for your site, installing new software programs, creating videos, audios, transcribing audio to readable documents, etc.
If you just can’t afford to outsource anything, see if you can barter or exchange services. For example, if you’re good at writing and creating articles, see if you can exchange services with someone who is well-equipped in other areas where you need help.
7. Reward Your Accomplishments
Reward yourself and you will jump higher and higher to achieve more. Which is more desirable? Simply working for “$20“…or working for “$20 and a Bonus“? We love bonuses and incentives! Many companies offer their employees incentives because they know the results from doing so prove more productive for their company.
Just because you work a home business doesn’t mean you should have to do without bonuses. Create your own incentives and bonuses. You’ll have the same positive results!
You can positively work smarter without working harder. Just follow the steps above and you’ll soon find yourself getting more work done and enjoying more time with your family.
