Marketing my New Website – Day 2

Marketing my New Website – Day 2

A journal of marketing my new website (BetterBusinessPro.com) to generate traffic….

(Updates will be under the specific category of – “My Marketing Journal“)

Today, I went over to create some Google Alerts.  I used several keywords.

You will see the following options:

Search terms: (I created several search terms — one at a time, of course.  I used some of my keywords that I’m focusing on and also for the type of audience that I’m targeting.)

Type: (I chose blogs because I want to create some back links from commenting on relevant blogs in my niche.  I make sure, though, that I can contribute worthy comments or else I do not bother at all.  Just remember, no silly comments! lol)

How often: (This will be up to you how often you want to work on commenting on blogs.  I chose mostly “once a week” so that I can focus on this type of internet marketing only once a week.  I did choose “daily” for a couple of search terms.  So, those I will try to check more often when I have time.  I have found that choosing  “daily” for numerous terms can become overwhelming very quickly.)

Deliver to: (Your email address.  If you like, you could create an email address just for receiving your Google alerts.

*I start off choosing many search terms to “test the waters”…later I can eliminate any terms that do not seem to produce good results.

Also, I have visited some do follow blog directories for some blogs to visit and comment on.  Again, be wise and don’t leave silly comments.  Make your comments worthwhile!

*Check out these two directories: dofollowdirectory.com and dofollowblogs.com for some blogs that can help you create some quality backlinks to your site.

Three Simple Tips to SEO Optimize Your Website Content

Three Simple Tips to SEO Optimize Your Website Content

seo-optimize-website-content-2Content is the most powerful tool you have in your search engine optimization strategy. Relevant content, optimized for keywords, and published frequently can shoot your website to the top of the search engine results.

That being said, there are a few strategies to SEO optimize your website content…

1.  Use One Primary Keyword Per Page.

Keep it simple and optimize each webpage for one primary keyword. You could include a couple of secondary keywords that might be extensions of the primary keyword. However, trying to incorporate too many keywords into one page diffuses the results.

2.  Use your keyword strategically.

There are a few prominent places to position your keyword so they’re recognized by the search engines.

These locations include:

  • Your headline
  • Any headings or subheadings in your content
  • The first and last paragraph of your content

3.  Let your words flow naturally.

Many beginners are tempted to place their keywords in every single sentence. That generally creates an article or page that’s extremely difficult to read. Instead, write your content and then go back and position your keywords using the strategy we just outlined. Make sure to sprinkle other relevant words throughout your content as well.

For example, if you’re writing about puppy housebreaking, you can also use the words potty training, or housetraining.

Having a keyword strategy for each piece of content you write and following the tips we’ve outlined will go a long way toward helping to SEO optimize your website content and you reach the search engine results you desire.  The bottom line, write quality and well focused content for your audience first and the search engines second.  After all, your audience is the key to profits and a successful website.

How to Become an Expert in Your Niche

How to Become an Expert in Your Niche

how-to-become-an-expert-in-your-niche

If you’re launching a new information product, obviously you need to be an expert in whatever niche topic you’re writing about. This is crucial to your sales success.

Whose product would you rather read: the pseudo expert who doesn’t offer any new information or the true expert who practices what he preaches and has success doing so?

To become an expert, do your studying…

1. Conduct market research and really pinpoint EXACTLY who will be your customers. Learn everything there is to know about your customers and how your info product will help them.

2. Check out your competitors’ websites and online stores. How will YOUR info product be different from theirs? Offering a different point of view or a unique solution to a problem will set your info product apart from the competitors.

3. Share your message with others. You want to build a buzz around the launch of your info product and the best way to do that is to become active in social media groups and forums which reach your target market. Being a guest on some targeted podcasts will also allow your message to be heard.

4.  Set yourself apart from the rest.
What makes you so special? If other people already know about your expertise prior to launching your product, then ask for their testimonials to add to your sales page. Ask their opinions about what makes you and your info product unique and how it can help others. Offering people a free copy of your product to review will get you many volunteers.

To become an expert in your niche or specific field means studying your market, staying up to date with your market’s needs, and offering innovative solutions to their problems. If you have a genuine interest in solving these needs, then your market will embrace you as an expert and your product sales will likely increase as a result.

How to Make Serious Money by Selling Ebooks from Home

How to Make Serious Money by Selling Ebooks from Home

selling-ebooks-from-home

An extremely large number of people are looking at different types of home business opportunities in order to find a way to make extra money from home without tying themselves down to a second job. Selling ebooks from home can be the perfect opportunity to generate extra income without any additional commitment that a regular job would require.

You might be a busy professional who wants to spend more time with your family, a stay-at-home mom who wants to earn money while raising her kids or a student who has decided he no longer wants to support his education by making fries. Whatever the circumstances may be, you can be assured that internet users are searching online for information and they’re willing to pay money for it. You can take advantage of this opportunity by setting up your own webpage online selling your own information products.

Most people’s lives are hectic and they don’t want to waste precious time researching information or take time to go to the library to research topics that interest them. As a result, the popularity of the ebook, which can be digitally downloaded to the customer’s computer in an instant, is growing phenomenally.

People are ready to spend their hard-earned money on buying ebooks that offer valuable information which will also save them time on performing their own research. Therefore, internet marketers who have researched and know what kind of information thousands are looking for are busy selling ebooks and reports from home and cashing in on this opportunity.

If you feel you are an expert on a certain topic that will interest a lot of readers, then you should proceed to compose your own ebook or report. You could also consider offering other forms of information such as ecourses, which could be downloaded in parts by your customers, creating your own membership site, or even producing audio books or videos.

On the other hand, if you cannot write your own ebook due to any number of reasons-shortage of time or a lack of interest, aptitude or skill, do not worry. There are hundreds of e-book and report writers who will let you sell their original products for a commission. Online this is considered as “affiliate marketing”. Another option is to purchase resell rights to already published ebooks and reports and sell them to your customers after paying a one time fee to the original creator.

The only trick involved in making serious money by selling ebooks from home is to find or create a high quality product on a topic that is in high demand. Your main focus then will be to market it well.

Learn the Basics of SEO to Bring More Traffic to Your Site

Learn the Basics of SEO to Bring More Traffic to Your Site

SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimization.” It means web content that is created to rank well with the search engines.

In other words, it’s the process of optimizing your content so that it will rank well with search engines when a specific keyword or keyword phrase is searched. The more you utilize SEO on your site, the more organic traffic you will generate to your site.

When you begin to learn the basics of SEO you’ll see that you want to find out what keywords or keyword phrases are popular for your niche. For example, if you are in the weight loss niche then some popular keyword phrases might be “lose weight fast” and “how to get thin.”

Once you identify your keywords and keyword phrases then your goal is to target them with your content. You should sprinkle the words throughout your writing. If you’re writing an article then you would want to place the keywords in the title and throughout the body of your article (not over stuffing with keywords, but keeping a nice balance and creating a well-written article) . You would want the keyword to appear one or two times for every one hundred words.

By writing in this manner, you will be letting the search engines know that your content will be helpful for anyone who is searching for those keywords. If you write an article titled, “How to Lose Weight Fast: 3 Great Tips” then the search engines should treat that article well when someone searches for “lose weight fast.”

The exact formula search engines use to rank search results isn’t known; however, they definitely do utilize keywords. The quality of your content is another consideration, so be sure to offer informative and well-written articles.

Most blog experts say that they focus more on the quality of their content than the keywords because they want to motivate their visitors to come back for more quality content.  I happen to agree that quality should be your main focus.

Try writing your article first and then consider what keywords you might target for that particular article. Next, try exchanging your keywords for certain terms, but make sure the flow of your article still seems sensible and written in a good conversational tone.  Refrain from rewriting too much of your article in order to stuff in your keywords.  Doing this will create an unbalanced article.

As an added reinforcement, submit some articles to a few popular article directories, using some of your most targeted keywords.  This will allow you to create some backlinks to your site and should help you to gain even more rank with the search engines.

Overall, learning the basics of SEO shouldn’t be overdaunting.  Just try to take time to do some keyword searches for your articles, and soon you’ll learn to utilize keywords in a manner that will still allow your articles to flow naturally.
