154 Website Ideas and How You Can Take Immediate Action to Starting an Online Business
My mom always said…
“If you don’t know what to cook for supper, boil water.” Her advice was plain and simple…don’t waste time…take immediate action. When the water comes to a boil you can boil pasta, potatoes, eggs, beans, rice, corn on the cob, stew meats, seafood, etc. If you finally decided what to cook and you didn’t need the water after all…well, you have some hot water that could be used for washing dishes, watering plants or whatever you can do with water. Nothing is wasted, but your time is definitely wasted if you do nothing but sit and stare at your kitchen walls.
The same idea can be applied for starting an online business…
Whenever I meet a new members in forums who are interested in making money online, but really don’t know where to start, I usually recommend they start a new blog on a subject that they are really interested in. It’s not that they’re necessarily going to start making money right away doing so, but it’s getting them to take some immediate action to do something while they’re trying to figure it all out.
Internet marketing is a big learning process and there’s no need to sit around learning every marketing tip, trick and secret to get started. Your internet business can grow while you grow.
If the forum member I’m speaking with is knowledgeable about childcare, finances, or any particular topic, I usually recommend that they start a blog on that subject to immediately begin establishing themselves as an expert on their topic. Later, they can expand their online ventures by creating their own ebooks to sell, starting a paid membership site, creating a course to sell, or many other ways that they can profit from sharing their knowledge.
If you’ve been sitting on the fence…
Go ahead and take a leap of faith to start your first website or blog. (Click here for FREE Blog Installation) If you’re scratching your head for business ideas, visit Mommy Revenue’s page, Business Startup Ideas which has some useful suggestions and startup guides that you can order.

Do You Have What it Takes to Start Your Own Online Business?

Do you have what it takes to start your own online business?
Should I or Should I Not? Here’s 3 Quick Questions to Ask Yourself First:
1. Do I have the time for an online business?
Just because the business is on the Internet doesn’t mean it will run itself, contrary to those TV commercials you may have seen. Some businesses will take care of themselves and continue to produce income once you have them set up and running. But you have to take the time to get them up and running. If your schedule is
already packed you’ll need to decide what can be dropped to make room for your business.
Most businesses take more time in the early stages. Establish a goal of working so many hours per week and at what times of the week. Flexibility of work hours is an advantage of running your own business. However, it’s easy to put off working during the week thinking you’ll catch up on the weekends and suddenly another
whole week has gone by and you haven’t accomplished much of anything.
2. Do I have the resources to start an online business?
It doesn’t take a lot of resources to start a successful Internet business. It’s better if you do have some start-up money available. You may need to purchase a domain and web hosting services, have graphics designed or perhaps even do some advertising. There are lots of free promotional methods that you can start off with.
Basic needs: You will need a computer and an Internet connection. While most homes these days have both, there are usually other family members who need access to the computer and the Internet. It may
be more productive for you to obtain a computer or laptop just for your online business.
Besides money, look at the resources within yourself. If you’ve decided to start a graphic design firm you’ll need artistic talent and of course a good graphics design program.
3. Do I have the desire to succeed with an online business?
Starting any business offline or online requires the determination to succeed. There will be setbacks, you’ll make mistakes, you might even lose a bit of money before you achieve success. Can you keep going and learn from your mistakes?
Many people have the desire to reap the rewards of their own business: the extra money, flexibility, freedom from others telling you what to do, but they don’t have the desire to put in the effort necessary for success.
If you can answer “yes” to these three questions above, you have what it takes to start a successful business online. Check out Work at Home ~ You really can make a living at home.
