5 Ideas for Using PLR Content
What is PLR?
PLR stands for Public Label Rights.
PLR content is content that you’re able to use for your own purpose without having to give credit to the source (author or website). Not all PLR content comes with full rights, but if not otherwise stated, you can use the content anyway you want just as if it is your own.
Here are 5 ideas for using PLR content…
1. Use plr content on your website and blog.
You can break PLR articles or a PLR book into several pieces and post each piece as a blog entry. Or you can post all the PLR content to your website all at once.
2. Offer some plr content exclusively to your list.
Offer the articles to your list for free. If you have a list then you need to keep them happy with fresh, quality content. A great and easy way to do that is to send them PLR content that they’ll find valuable. Your list will be happy because they’ll get great content for free and you’ll be happy because it won’t require you do any work.
3. Use plr content on social networking sites, squidoo and hubpages.
Social networking sites are a great way to market your online business. They’re also completely free. You can use PLR content to create social networking pages. Gather some articles on the same topic to create some squidoo lenses and hubpages. You can even break the PLR content into extremely small chunks and use it for the social networking site Twitter.
4. Use plr content for bonuses.
Take time to compile some plr articles together to makes some valuable reports or ebooks. You can use this content as bonuses for the products you sell. The PLR content can sweeten the pot to help get people to buy your products. Again, this means very little extra work for you. But you will be able to provide your customers with a lot more value. And this will result in more sales of your products and more money in your pocket.
5. Convert your plr content.
Finally, another great use for PLR content is to put it in a different format. You can either make videos or audio files out of the PLR content. This will take a little bit of time but it isn’t difficult to do and it can be extremely effective.

Adding quality content to a site can mean the difference between generating more sales or driving away prospective customers.
Here are a few simple ways you can increase your sales with content…
List Capture – The easiest way to build a list of potential customers if to offer something on your website for free. It could be as simple as a free report detailing more information about your product or a free copy of an eBook you have written. Enticing your visitors to sign up for something you’re offering will allow you to retain a list of “potential” customers to further your marketing efforts.
Subtle Promotion – Promoting your products throughout the content of your website is the best way to get a customer interested. Offer content that presells and gets your visitors interested in learning more through joining your mailing list or clicking on the text links or graphics of your product listings.
Place a graphic of your product and make it clickable so when a customer clicks on the image they will be taken to a sales page about the product. Once the customer is there, give them the option to either buy the product or receive more information about the product. This again, allows you to develop a list of potential customers who you can then market to.
Keywords – Perhaps the best way to drive traffic to your site and gain customers is by writing content incorporated with keywords related to your niche for greater search engine optimization (SEO). Using keywords will help your website reach the top of the search engines and bring more customers to your site. Knowing which keywords to use will require some research on your part. You can use Google’s free keyword tool to help search for some appropriate keywords.
Implementing one or all of these strategies will help get more sales coming in and keep them coming in the future. To learn more about profiting from your website content, get Mommy Revenue’s Marketing With Content guide.
